Education & Experience

My name is Anna Bartosik and I am the founder of Bartosik Behavior and Beyond (formerly known as Woofs and Purrs). I am a continuous learner, highly motivated to change and improve the world we live in. Since getting my PGCert in Animal Psychology in 2015, I have attended multiple courses and conferences to make sure I stay up to date with science and current best practices for animals and humans.

I’ve learned from and been influenced by trainers and behaviour professionals such as Chirag Patel, Susan Friedman, Sarah Whitehead and Gwen Bailey, whose work has shaped modern, force-free approaches to working with animals. My journey started as an assistant at Puppy School Hethersett classes for 2 years, and I have been blessed to work with the wonderful trainer Zoe Taylor.

I have cared for animals and wanted to be near them my whole life. My quest is to share my knowledge of animal behaviour to create harmonious lives for caregivers and their pets.

I’m a continuous learner. I always feel the need to learn, so I can be at least 1% better tomorrow than I am today.

  • Living and Learning with Animals (LLA) - The Science & Technology of behavior change by Professor: Susan G. Friedman, Ph. D., the 8-week (≈60 hours) telecourse completed in March 2022 and then auditing next edition in July 2022

  • Twice monthly online Animal Training Academy web classes in the membership area (continuously since 2019)

  • Cooperative Care Conference 2021 by Zoospenseful, an online conference where I volunteered and co-organised a social event with J.R. Henderson covering a topic - Routines, rituals and rhythm with our companion animals and what works best for the relationship to thrive

  • CHATTcon 2021, an online conference where I was one of the staff members as a moderator
